NaNoWriMo – Final Count

After having several busy days I’m able to update you with the final word count in the NaNoWriMo participation.

Total word count is 6832 which I’m thrilled about. I did find it somewhat a challenge doing it every single night so I have been having a bit of a break from it all but will get the writing hat back on my head in the next few days. That’s the plan.

Strictly NaNoWriMo – Day 25

Strictly Come Dancing takes priority on Saturday nights but the writing still gets done, though tonight wasn’t much.

203 tonight.  I’ve switched to a new section of the story to keep it all new and fresh, I felt like I was concentrating too long on the same section.  It’s gone for a nap while the rest of the story comes alive!

NaNoWriMo – Day 24

313 words tonight.  It feels like I’m coming to some sticky situations with the way the story is going.  With being so close to the end of NaNoWriMo I can’t afford to spend several days going through the plan and framework again, so will just churn out words and force them in the right direction.  It will all be good in the end.

 

NaNoWriMo – Ben & Jerry’s Day 23

I wrote tonight’s word count whilst happily chomping through some Ben and Jerry’s ice cream.  Although delicious it was a bit distracting trying to type with both hands whilst holding a spoon so I don’t think I’ll be doing it again but it was fun to do.

261 tonight. The dream sequence from last night has finished but I think I’ll be padding it out at a later date, it was great to write but feel like it is missing some more fun and silliness.

I’ve had to start later tonight so I can watch Strictly Come Dancing.  After it finished I churned out 468 words.  I’ve got around 15000 words in total, after re-writes, edits and a lot more blood, sweat and tears to come, I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface with it but it’s all coming out of my head and into visual text so it’s something I’m very proud of!
